Common questions

How do I delete my account?

Profile tab → scroll to the bottom → Delete account (confirm with your password). Everything tied to your account (profile, sessions, GPS tracks, posts, media, messages, friendships) is removed immediately; crews you own pass to another admin or member. You can also email us from the address on your account and we'll do it for you.

Why can't I see public posts / search for people?

If your birthdate makes you under 18, ASC runs in friends-only mode by design: you can add friends by username and see everything they share, but public discovery, global boards and public plans are off. See the Privacy Policy.

Why does the app ask for "Always" location?

Only so a recording keeps going with the phone in your pocket. It's used solely while a session is being recorded; you can pick "While Using" and keep the screen on instead.

Conditions score looks off for my spot

Scores are built from public weather/snow/swell/tide sources near the spot. Tap Why this score? on the spot to see the inputs, and use the report option on the spot page if the spot data itself is wrong (closed, moved, wrong sport).

Reporting people or content

Every profile, post, comment, message thread and plan has a ⋯ menu with Report and Block. Blocking is immediate; reports go to a human.

Export my GPS tracks

Open any recorded session → share → Export GPX. Your privacy zones are trimmed out of the export.
